Payment of the participation fee is processed via our online shop. The payment options in the shop for artBAM are limited to credit card. If you are unable or unwilling to pay by credit card, we also offer you the option of paying by invoice when purchasing a voucher. Make sure that you have received an invoice by e-mail after payment. Please also check your spam folder.

After you have paid the registration fee via our shop, you will receive an automatic invoice with the upload link. In addition, you will be automatically redirected to the upload area after sending the payment. Therefore, please check immediately after payment whether you have received an invoice. To be on the safe side, please also check your spam folder. If you have not received an e-mail, please contact us within 24 hours by e-mail at help@artbam.eu (mailto:help@artbam.eu) stating your first and last name, your full address and your e-mail address. We will take care of it.

The procedure is slightly different for payment by invoice. You will receive an automated invoice. We ask you to transfer this to the specified account with the corresponding invoice number and also to send us a copy of your transfer to account@artbam.eu (mailto:account@artbam.eu), stating your first and last name, your full address and your e-mail address. You will then receive the upload link from us by e-mail.

The 20 shortlisted artists will be informed by email no later than seven days after the application deadline. One week later, the ten finalists and the three winners will be announced. All those who are not shortlisted will also be informed by e-mail seven days after the application deadline.

Ideally, the artwork you submit as part of your application for the artBAM Artist Award will be offered for sale. However, your application should demonstrate the extent of your artistic talent. So if you feel that certain works convey this, you can submit them.

The curation of your work may be discussed separately if you are a finalist. However, artists cannot apply with works that are exclusively under contract with another gallery. The works of the winners of the first three prizes will be individually curated for the artBAM Prize exhibition in Munich.

If selected as a finalist for the exhibition in Pasinger Fabrik, it is the artist’s responsibility to transport the works to us. They will be responsible for cost and logistics.

One application to the artBAM Artist Prize allows the upload of up to 4 works. Artists can upload less than 4 if desired but not more than 4.

If you want to upload more than 4 images or works then two application payments need to be made and processed.

We recognize that it is the same artist by the name and e-mail address. And then automatically sort the second range of images to the artist.

You can submit up to 4 artworks in jpg or png format with your application. These images should not be larger than 2 MB per file and should be titled accordingly.

Video artists have the option of providing us with one link per video, which we can use to view the video. In addition, we ask the video artists to include a typical screenshot of the linked video in the upload window so that we can assign it more easily.

Please bear in mind that if you upload fewer than four images and then submit the application, no further images can be sent afterwards. For this reason, you have the option of temporarily saving the form until your application is complete.

The artist enters the name and any additional information in a form. In this form, the title, the size in centimeters, the material, the medium, and the date are entered in order. When the form is submitted, this data is automatically assigned to the picture.

The entry fee for the artBAM4 Artist Prize covers the upload of all 4 artworks. If you want to sent more artworks, you have to pay another  voucher for four more artworks.

Once you submit your registration via the upload area, your registration is complete and can no longer be changed. However, you have until the general submission deadline to upload your work. You are therefore welcome to take your time to make decisions or complete work before you start submitting your application. 

Once you have purchased a submission for the artBAM Artist Award, you have until the general deadline to upload your application. So you don’t need to stress. The final submission deadline for 2025 is July 13, 2025, Midnight CET.

Once you have completed your order, you have secured an application and can upload it by the deadline. However, sometimes problems occur in our application if certain fields are not entered correctly. Please clear your cache and try again using a different browser or device. We recommend that you complete your application via desktop. The shortlist contains the 20 artists selected by the jury as possible exhibition candidates. From this shortlist, 10 artists will be selected as finalists, including the three prize winners. These ten artists will take part in the group exhibition at the Pasinger Fabrik.

The exhibition at the Pasinger Fabrik begins on 12 August and ends on 30 August 2025. The vernissage with the AWARD ceremony will take place on 12 August and the AUDIENCE AWARD ceremony on 30 August. Works by the finalists must arrive in Munich at least four days before the vernissage. The finalists will be informed separately about the procedure by the gallery.
